Comedian Joan Rivers welcomed actor Orlando Bloom, who has rented a flat in the same building as hers, by holding up a sign for him and baking a cake for him.

Bloom moved in the new apartment here after ending his three-year-long marriage with supermodel Miranda Kerr.

Rivers, 80, was photographed leaving her apartment Oct 29 with a sign that read: "Welcome Orlando to the hood," reports femalefirst.co.uk.

She even made a cake for him but wasn't able to give it to him.

Rivers tweeted: "Orlando wasn't home, so I gave the cake to the paparazzi. Best line I heard: 'If you can't trust a cake from Joan Rivers, who can you trust'."
