It seems he loves to be different when it comes to filmmaking. After a film on sperm donation, actor-producer John Abraham is set to make a film on boxing, featuring former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye, with whom he has partnered to open a fitness centre here.

John is confident that with offbeat films gradually moving into the mainstream, a real life boxer like David in a film on the sport will be more credible.

"With the genre of films changing, the kind of films that are being accepted today, I feel and I know in the capacity of a producer and an actor, that when someone like David will come onscreen or when he will show boxing in the light it is meant to be shown, it would be far more accepted than a typical film where you're pretending to be a boxer," said John here.

He spoke at a press conference to announce his partnership with the boxer's Hayemaker Gym Wednesday.

The film that John spoke about is in its scripting stage, and John asserts it would definitely be a commercial film.

"Commercial films are those that do commerce. So, we will try and make a film that does the numbers. But we try and make it in a framework where there is a lot of credibility attached to it as far as the sport is concerned," said the actor, who turned producer with "Vicky Donor" last year.

Other films under his banner are "Hamara Bajaj", "Banana" and "Madras Cafe".
