'Judwaa 2' to release next year

The second instalment of the 1997 blockbuster film "Judwaa" is set to hit the silver screen on September 29, next year.

Announcing the release date of the Film, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment tweeted: "Mark your calendars! Judwaa2 releasing on 29.09.17 Directed by #DavidDhawan *ing @Varun_dvn x2 Produced By #SajidNadiadwala #29Sept17Judwaa2."

Sajid Nadiadwala's "Judwaa 2" is a sequel to the Salman Khan-starrer "Judwaa" (1997) which is considered to be a cult classic.

"Judwaa", which created a stir on its release, featured Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Rambha.

"Judwaa 2" will have Varun Dhawan in a double-role.

The news that the film was being developed into a sequel has got the audience curious about its release already.

The year 2016 has been wonderfully productive for Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment which delivered the the most loved films this year -- "Baaghi", "Housefull 3" and "Dishoom".

The production company is on a current high and has been gearing up for its upcoming period romance drama film "Rangoon".

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, "Judwaa 2" is directed by David Dhawan.
