Singer Justin Bieber and model Shanina Shaik are not dating, says a source.
A source close to Bieber has confirmed to Gossip Cop magazine that the 21-year-old is currently single, reports aceshowbiz.com.
No further explanation was provided by the source.
Bieber and Shaik were spotted together at Floyd Mayweather, Jr.'s boxing match against Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas last week. In an Instagram photograph that he shared from the event, the singer was seen wrapping his hand around the model's waist as she leaned his body against him.
Shaik then re-posted the black-and-white snapshot on her account. "Thank you Vegas and @justinbieber for a great weekend wearing@balmainparis#watchinghistory#fightnight#lastnight#mannyvsmayweather#balmain," so she captioned it.
It was the Instagram image that ignited rumours of them dating. Judging from their gesture, people began to speculate that both Bieber and Shaik were romantically linked.
