Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio underwent a successful surgery on the ligament in his left knee on Tuesday and will be out of action for six months.
The Italian international will miss the Euro 2016 in France, reports Efe.
Juventus said in a statement on Tuesday that the midfielder underwent the surgery confirming that "the operation, performed by Professor Flavio Quaglia at Turin's Fornaca di Sessant Clinic, was 100 per cent successful."
Marchisio had to leave the pitch on a stretcher during Juventus' 4-0 win against Palermo.
