Local journalists on Tuesday held a peaceful protest march here against alleged manhandling of a colleague by armed security guards of the state agriculture minister.
Srinagar-based journalists took out a protest march in the city centre Lal Chowk on Tuesday demanding action against the guards of state Agriculture Minister Ghulam Nabi Hanjura.
A local journalist, Javaid Malik said he and his wife were manhandled by the guards accompanying the minister in Bagh-e-Mehtab area of the city on Monday.
Despite wide coverage in the local media of the alleged manhandling of Javaid Malik, no statement or clarification has so far been issued either by police or the agriculture minister.
