Kaza shocks Prashanth for semis berth in tennis tourney

Vinayak Sharma Kaza upset top seed Vijay Sundar Prashanth 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-1 to reach the singles semi-finals of the Raman Sports Trust Men's Futures tennis tournament here on Thursday.

However, second seed Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan maintained his form to keep his appointed place in the semi-finals when he outplayed Mohit Mayur Jayaprakash in straight sets to set up a clash with Sidharth Rawat who eased past Manzano Rodriguez of Spain 6-3, 5-2 (retd).

In the other semi-final, Sharma takes on wild card Prajnesh Gunneswaran who overcame seventh seed Sumit Nagal 6-4, 7-6(4).
