Kerala governor may contest Lok Sabha polls

Kerala Governor Nikhil Kumar is likely to contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls from his home state Bihar, sources close to him said Thursday.

The 72-year-old, former Indian Police Service officer of the 1963 batch, was a Congress parliamentarian from the Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar from 2004-2009.

His father Satyendra Narayan Sinha, a former chief minister of Bihar was a seven-time parliamentarian from Aurangabad.

Nikhil Kumar was sworn in as the Kerala governor in March last year.
