Key Indian equity market indices that opened in the green on Monday were trading flat in the afternoon session.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) was trading 8.30 points or 0.03 percent higher during the afternoon session.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 6.90 points or 0.09 percent up at 7,756.60 points.
The BSE Sensex, which opened at 25,447.72 points, was trading at 25,310.20 points (at 01.24 p.m.) in the afternoon session, up 8.30 points or 0.03 percent from the previous day's close at 25,301.90 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 25,519.26 points and a low of 25,235.10 points in the trade so far.
Good buying was observed in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and telecom sectors, while selling pressure was seen in realty and energy sectors.
The S&P BSE FMCG index gained by 1.99 percent and telecom index got augmented by 1 percent, while realty index dropped by 0.79 percent and energy index fell by 0.42 percent.
