Singer Kimberley Walsh is very protective of fellow Girls Aloud band member Cheryl Cole.
The five-member band is not together anymore, but still Kimberley respected Cheryl's sentiments and made sure she did not reveal anything about the latter's failed marriage with footballer Ashley Cole in her autobiography "A Whole Lot of History".
"I'm very protective of Cheryl and if she hasn't wanted me to address her split from Ashley, I wouldn't have done. But she was quite happy for me to speak about it from my side. In fact, she encouraged it," Hello magazine quoted Kimberley as saying.
Kimberley, 31, tried her best to support Cheryl through her divorce with Ashley in 2010.
"All I could really do was be there for her, physically, 24 hours a day. I'd been through it with my sister, so I knew what someone's mental state is like when they've had that sort of shock and I didn't want her to be on her own," said Kimberley.
Girls Aloud band also comprised of Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding.
