Filmmaker Kiran Rao has taken a new step to support young talent and launched her own banner called Kiran Rao.
Rao refused to divulge more information.
But a source close to her revealed: "Kiran Rao is very excited about her new venture. She always likes to be a part of creative process, especially if the content is good."
Under the banner, Rao will present films that are important and deserve to get a wider platform.
According to the source, the purpose of this production company is not to let good independent cinema remain in the confines of anonymity.
Kiran Rao would present her first film "Ship of Thesus" in July. The film is directed by debutant Anand Gandhi.
