Vladimir Klitschko could soon get a chance to complete a "grand slam" of boxing world titles, according to media reports Wednesday.
"Vladimir is a true boxing icon. The WBC (World Boxing Council) fully and completely supports a federation fight," WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said Wednesday, reports Xinhua.
The 38-year-old star is the world champion of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Organisation (WBO) and World Boxing Association (WBA) federations.
Bermane Stiverne of Canada holds the current WBC belt.
