New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson received a $25,000 bill from the NBA for criticising officials in public.

The decision was announced by Rod Thorn, president of basketball operations of NBA Friday, reports Xinhua.

Woodson said Knick All-Star scorer Carmelo Anthony wasn't getting "superstar" calls in a radio interview.

Woodson implied that Anthony wasn't receiving the same treatment from the NBA referees as other superstars like LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant.
