Three more people were arrested on Monday, taking the number of accused who have been taken into custody to five over the recent brawl in a bar in Kolkata which left a middle-aged man dead and two others injured.
A youth in his early 20s was nabbed from Sonarpur in neighbouring South 24 Parganas district. Two others were arrested from North 24 Parganas district, police said.
Around 30-35 bullets were fired and bombs hurled indiscriminately during the shootout.
Police said bouncers at the bar had got into a heated argument with some unidentified people a little after midnight when they refused to pay for the bar services. The free-trippers left, but came back some time later in more numbers and started firing indiscriminately.
During the brawl, a stray bullet hit a nearby pedestrian who was later declared dead when rushed to a hospital. Two others also sustained injuries.
