Come November, architectural experts, designers and planners from 25 countries will join Indian urban planners to deliberate on restoration strategies for cities in a four-day symposium here.
Experts from the US, India, Switzerland, Britain, China, Bangladesh, Switzerland, France and South Africa, among others, will zoom in on practices in disaster affected cities in the meet 'Cities under Restoration'.
The event, which starts Nov 18, is organised by the Centre for Built Environment (CBE).
"Individual topics in restoration like ecological, historical, public space, cultural, urban rivers and water fronts will be discussed. All the facets of restoring cities will be highlighted," Santosh Ghosh, honorary president, CBE, told IANS.
Lectures on bio-architecture, landscape designing trends and high-rises will also be part of workshops.
