A land grabbing racket being run from the Tihar Jail here has been busted with the arrest of two youth, police said Friday.
Bijender, 27 and Pawan Mann, 24 were arrested Wednesday from West Delhi's Dwaraka area where they had come to meet each other.
According to police, the two were working on the indications of Sandeep Mental, lodged in Tihar jail in connection with a 2012 murder case.
"Mental wanted to get a plot in Najafgarh occupied by Nafe Singh vacated and asked the two to get the work done," said a police official.
"In a bid to pressurise the owner, the duo had fired blank shots at his house on the plot Dec 13 and Dec 18," the official added.
As per police, Bijender was also lodged in the Tihar jail with Mental. However he came out on bail Dec 4 with the help of Mental who had arranged surety for him.
"One country made pistol used in crime along with a stolen bike was recovered from the duo's possession," police said.
