Hundreds of lawyers marched from the Patiala House court complex to India Gate here on Friday and demanded action against certain JNU students whom they dubbed "anti-national".
Led by Vikram Chauhan and Yashpal Singh, allegedly involved in an attack on journalists inside the court complex on Monday, the protesting lawyers raised slogans like 'do not spare traitors' and 'Vande Mataram' and also termed those students as "anti-national".
Students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) had earlier demanded the release of students union leader Kanhaiya Kumar who was booked in a sedition case after anti-national slogans were raised on the campus on February 9.
The lawyers' protest march was organised by the coordination committee of all district court bar associations in Delhi.
