'Lego' sequel in May 2017

Warner Bros. has set May 26, 2017 for the release of the sequel to "The Lego Movie", which is said to have topped $200 million in worldwide grosses.

The yet untitled sequel, to be penned by screenwriters Jared Stern and Michelle Morgan, is the first movie to be set for that date, reports variety.com.

"The Lego Movie", a computer-animated comedy, released Feb 7 and it is poised for a successful third straight weekend at the US box office, where it has grossed $151 million in its first two weeks.
