Delhi recorded a hot and humid day on Friday with the maximum temperature settling at 39.5 degrees Celsius, the average for the season. The Met office forecast a partly cloudy sky and very light rain or thunderstorm on Saturday evening.
"There will be partly cloudy sky on Saturday with very light rain or thunderstorm likely to occur in some areas towards the evening or night," said an India Meteorological Department official.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 38 and 26 degrees respectively.
The minimum on Friday was recorded at 25.8 degrees , two notches below the season's average while the humidity oscillated between 86 and 45 per cent.
Thursday's maximum temperature settled at 37.3 degrees, two notches below the season's average while the minimum settled at 28 degrees, two notches below the season's average.
