Buenos Aires, May 5 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Sebastien Loeb took the win in the Argentinian round of the World Rally Championship (WRC) in what is set to be the penultimate rally of the semi-retired nine-time champion�'s career.
Citroen�'s Loeb won by 55 seconds Saturday from Volkswagen�'s Sebastien Ogier and goes second in the championship standings behind Ogier, overtaking Mikko Hirvonen, who limped in sixth.
Loeb is competing in selected events this season, his last in the sport.
Third place went to Jari-Matta Latvala, also in a VW, who overtook Evgeny Novikov on the third and final day.
The Russian took fourth to equal his best finish of the season so far as he gradually improves on a disappointing start to his time with the works Ford outfit. Latvala took the three bonus points on offer in the power stage with Ogier taking two for second and Hirvonen one for third.
