London is still standard of our time even in a globalised world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday.

In his address to the British Parliament, Modi said so much of history of India had been written in the building in which he was speaking.

"Even in this globalised world, London is still standard of our time," Modi said.

He said many freedom fighters of India found calling in institutions of Britain.

He said Britain was the third largest investor in India and Indians invest in Britain more than in European Union countries.
