Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan slammed the Congress party for hurling papers at deputy Speaker M. Thambidurai on Tuesday.
"It has crossed all limits today. They hurled papers at the deputy speaker. Is it appropriate on the part of the elected members to do this," Mahajan asked while speaking to reporters outside parliament house.
"They were speaking with raised hands as if to say the speaker himself is guilty. I think people have to think about it," she said.
The sloganeering members of Lok Sabha hurled papers at deputy Speaker M. Thambidurai when the proceedings were on.
The Lok Sabha was on Tuesday adjourned for the day after it witnessed uproarious scenes, with the Congress continuing its protest over the ex-Indian Premier League chief Lalit Modi controversy.
