Cruzeiro moved to the top of the Campeonato Brasileiro standings with a 1-0 victory over Coritiba.
Luan struck the winner in the 11th minute at the Mineirao Stadium by tapping in a Mayke cross after Ricardo Goulart's long-range pass Saturday, reports Xinhua.
Luan hailed the performance of 20-year-old Mayke at right-back.
"The kid is playing really well and I have to thank him. The goal was all his," Luan said.
The result leaves Cruzeiro a point clear of second-placed Botafogo, who will meet Rio de Janeiro rivals Vasco da Gama at the Maracana Stadium Sunday. Coritiba are third, behind Botafogo on goal difference.
