New Delhi, April 24 (IANS) Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has lent his voice to his forthcoming production venture "Aashiqui 2".
According to the reports, Bhatt is playing Aditya Roy Kapoor's father. He will not make an appearance in the film, but will be heard communicating with Aditya on phone.
"I play Aditya's father. But I am not acting in the film. You won't see me. I have given my voice for two scenes. He has a phone conversation with his father and my voice can be heard," Bhatt said in a statement.
Bhatt, who has produced the film, had directed the original "Aashiqui" in 1990.
Directed by Mohit Suri, "Aashiqui 2" also stars Shradha Kapoor. A co-production of T-Series and Vishesh Films, the musical drama is scheduled to release April 26.
