A major fire on Monday partially destroyed a readymade garment factory here and left at least five workers injured. Fire fighters took four hours to douse the blaze, officials said.
The fire broke out in the afternoon at Global Fashion's Sector 18 unit.
"The fire gutted the third floor of the factory. The ground and other two floors were, however, saved after nearly four hours of hard efforts by fire fighters," chief fire officer I.S. Kashyap told IANS.
At least five factory workers were injured in the incident and were rushed to hospital, he said.
In another incident of fire here on Monday, a flat in the upscale Sohna Road area was gutted.
"The cause behind this fire is not clear as the flat was locked and the family living there was not present," Kashyap said.
