* 'Silver' is the new gold: Being an element of rituals, gold has always been considered more valuable than other metals. But, what makes silver a smarter choice is the fact that it goes with gemstones like topaz, ruby, pearls, amber and marcasite. Despite being a low maintenance metal, beauty still favours silver. This festive season, don't fall prey to buying gold. Instead, invest in a smarter choice, invest in silver.

* Diamond simulant: Diamonds are a girl's best friend but they come at a hefty price. Use your money effectively and invest in diamond simulants over real diamonds.
