The hosts had more in the way of chances in the first half during Friday's La Liga match, but neither side was impressive in front of the 20,000 spectators at the La Rosaleda Stadium, reports Efe news agency.
While Malaga was livelier in the second half, their skill was not equal to their enthusiasm and they never really threatened the Levante goal.
The best scoring opportunity of the night came after the end of the 90 minutes and Roberto dashed Levante's hopes of coming away with all three points.
The outcome leaves Levante with 16 points from 14 matches, enough for the 14th spot in the La Liga. Malaga, with just eight points, are 18th.
