Top seed Vikram Malhotra comfortably outsmarted Puneet Pareek 11-1, 11-6, 11-4 in the final to clinch the men's open crown of the Indian Squash Professionals (ISP) organised Rs.4 lakh All-India JVPG-Coke Squash Carnival (third leg) at the Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana here Monday.
Earlier in the semi-final, Malhotra quashed the aspiration of Aishwarya Singh posting a 11-5, 11-4, 11-4 victory while Pareek prevailed over seasoned Karan Mirchandani 11-8, 11-5, 11-9.
Malhotra's win helped earn a cash award of Rs.15,000 a sponsorship amount of $2,000 for playing on the professional circuit. Meanwhile, Mirchandani and Mohite went home richer by Rs.10,000 each.
