Odisha Police on Monday arrested a man accused of raping a four-year-old girl in Nilagiri area in Balasore district.
Nityacharan Jena alias Jiban, 24, was accused of luring the child living in his neighbourhood with chocolates on April 13 and raping her. He also mutilated her private parts, police said.
Police raided the possible hideouts of the accused and arrested him from Bhadrak town.
He will be presented in a court for remand, Balasore Superintendent of Police B. Jugal Kishore said.
Police has got the statement of the girl under Section 164 of the CrPC.
