A man succumbed to his injuries two days after he was beaten by his neighbours for abusing their dog, police said on Wednesday.
Vinod Kumar, 45, a businessman, was beaten up by his neighbours Ravi and Jeetu on Sunday evening in east Delhi's Trilokpuri area.
"The argument between Vinod and his neighbours turned into a scuffle. Vinod received severe injuries as his neighbours punched his chest and face after which he collapsed," said police.
Police said he was rushed to a nearby hospital and discharged on Tuesday morning.
"He again complained of severe chest pain on Tuesday afternoon but died on the way to hospital," said a police officer.
A case of culpable homicide has been registered against the accused neighbours who are on the run, police said.
