A man was killed and five others, including a woman, injured after the basement of a building under construction collapsed here on Friday, the police said.
The accident occurred around 10 a.m. in New Friends Colony in the southern part of the city.
"All victims have been identified as labourers. They were digging out soil from the basement when the building collapsed," an officer said.
The deceased, identified as Chotu, was in his 50s.
The five others, who received minor injuries, were pulled out of the rubble.
A case of negligence has been registered against the owner of the building, a police officer said.
