Ajay Singh, 50, had a heated argument with Alok Kumar Singh and Vinay Kumar Singh over setting up a flour mill in Mahuvari village in Hussainabad region, around 160 km from Ranchi.
Ajay Singh, along with his two sons, went to lodge an FIR at a police sation. While returning home, they were allegedly shot by Alok and Vinay, police said.
Ajay Singh died on the spot. His two sons -- Vikrant alias Vicky Singh (20) and Chandan alias Babloo Singh (24) -- were seriously injured and died in a hospital.
