A criminal wanted for murders and carrying Rs 1 lakh reward on his head has been arrested, police said on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said Praveen was arrested from GTK Bypass area in north Delhi early on Wednesday. A pistol was recovered from his possession.
Yadav told IANS that Praveen was involved in nine cases of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, extortion and assault on police personnel.
In 2003, Praveen was arrested for his involvement in a murder in a Rohtak court in Haryana. After his release from jail, he and his associates shot dead three of his former partners after they refused to pay his share of booty, police said.
