Popular lyricist Vairamuthu describes Mani Ratnam's upcoming Tamil romantic-drama "Oh Kadhal Kanmani" as a "beautiful love story". He believes the ace filmmaker, who has succeeded in this genre before, will do so again with his new film.
"This is a beautiful love story. It's about two characters and their love and mindset. Mani has always been successful in this genre, and will do so again with 'Oh Kadhal Kanmani'," Vairamuthu said in a video.
The film features Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menon in the lead.
Vairamuthu, who has lent lyrical support to the film, says Mani never takes more than three minutes to narrate his stories.
"He has never told me a story in more than three minutes. Just like how succinct and to the point his dialogues are, so is his storytelling. As Mani narrates the outline, I imagine the visuals," he said.
Mani Ratnam is making a comeback to the romance genre with "Oh Kadhal Kanmani", which is scheduled for April release.
