Former Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi holds movable and immovable assets worth Rs.63 lakh, as per the affidavit filed by him with his nomination papers.
Manjhi has a house worth Rs.13 lakh, a 10-year-old Ambassador car and a 2011 model Mahindra Scorpio sport utility vehicle.
Manjhi, whose father was a landless labourer in Mahkar village in Gaya district, used to own five acres of cultivable land worth Rs.37 lakh a few years ago.
This year, Manjhi courted controversy over three varying declarations about his age and assets.
Manjhi, president of the Hindustani Awam Morcha, has said he will contest from two assembly constituencies: Makhdumpur in Jehanabad district and Imanganj in Gaya district.
