Maoist surrenders in Bihar

In a significant achievement, a wanted Maoist in Bihar was persuaded to surrender to the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Bihar Police, an official said on Wednesday.

Vinay Kumar Ram, 37, from East Champaran district, surrendered on Tuesday. Inspector Kumar Rituraj of SSB was successful in persuading and convincing him to surrender, an official said.

The Maoist was wanted for several crimes including attempt to murder and conspiracy to wage war against the country.
