Argentine legend Diego Maradona said on Wednesday that Welshman Gareth Bale has "contributed more to his team's progress" than Cristiano Ronaldo has for Portugal in the ongoing European football championship.
Maradona's remarks came ahead of Wednesday's Wales-Portugal Euro semi-finals clash in Lyon, reports Efe.
The Argentine legend wrote in his column in the Times of India, noting that the match will be a clash between "the right and left flanks of Real Madrid."
He explained that both Bale and Cristiano have individual skills and can control the ball with speed and shooting.
The Argentina icon believes that the contribution of Bale and Cristiano will be always "crucial" because they can make the difference in any match.
