French football club Olympique Marseille has finalised the signing of Italian club Fiorentina's Argentine defender Facundo Roncaglia, according to media reports on Wednesday.
France's L'Equipe newspaper said that the French club and the player's agent were negotiating the details of the contract on Wednesday, which may extend for three or four years, reports Efe.
The 28-year-old Argentine defender played with his national team in the 2015 Copa America as a substitute for injured defender Pablo Zabaleta in the opening match against Paraguay that ended in a 2-2 draw.
Roncaglia is a versatile defender, able to play centre or right back, the newspaper said, noting that this suits the 4-2-3-1 and 3-3-3-1 playing formations used by Marseille's Argentine coach Marcelo Bielsa.
