Indian Nidhi Mahajan, a contestant in MasterChef Australia Season 8, has impressed master chef Marco Pierre White with her skilful use of spices.
"I just love your cooking. Your use of spice is genius. I wish you had a restaurant where I live, I would be there every week," White told Mahajan in a video shared on Facebook.
The Indian chef also shared that her father did not support her dream of becoming a chef.
"When I was 13 years old, I wanted to become a chef. I told my dad and he was like 'No, chef profession is not for girls in India'," she said in the video.
White has trained chefs like Gordon Ramsay, Curtis Stone and Shannon Bennett.
MasterChef Australia Season 8 will premiere in India on Star World and Star World HD in May.
