AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri said that his side will have to win the game against Genoa at home Saturday night.
Milan have only won once in their last six Italian Serie A games and are placed 10th in the league standings, reports Xinhua.
"This is an important month for our season - both in terms of Serie A and the Champions League. This is a decisive game for us," he said Friday.
"We have to win and we cannot afford to make any mistakes," he said.
Allegri's contract will expire in June and speculation is rife that he will step down soon after a not so impressive start to the season. The Italian, though, has rubbished these claims.
"I've been hearing these stories for four years," he said.
"I know that I will not stay here for life, there are cycles that start and end. Coaches are not eternal. There are a lot of good coaches in Italy who are growing," he said.
