MCL signs MoU with NBCC for medical college

Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India, on Friday signed a MoU with National Buildings Construction Corp Ltd (NBCC) to build a 100-bed medical college at Talcher in Odisha.

The MoU was signed by General Manager B.B. Mishra for MCL and V.K. Goel, the NBCC General Manager, in the presence of MCL CMD A.N. Sahay, a release from MCL said.

A total of Rs 492.62 crore will be spent for the 100-seat medical college and hospital at Talcher. The construction work will commence shortly, said the release.

The existing 115-bedded Nehru Shatabadi Central Hospital of MCL in Talcher will be upgraded to 500 beds.
