Ranchi, June 29 (ANS) A medical student committed suicide in Jharkhand's Jamshedpur district, police said. Her family have lodged a first information report against a doctor for allegedly "murdering" her.
Police said Madhulita, a first year medical student, was found hanging in a doctor's house in Jadugora of Jamshedpur district. Her family alleged that the doctor, Ripusudan, killed her.
Ripusudan has been arrested.
"It seems they were lovers. The death appears to be a murder. We are investigating the case and an FIR has been lodged against doctor for murdering the girl," a police officer told IANS.
