The two students of Madha Medical College near here involved in throwing a dog from the roof top of a multi-story building were arrested and let out on bail on Wednesday, police said.
According to police, Gautam Sudarshan and Ashish Paul were produced before them by their parents.
On being arrested the duo were granted bail by a local court.
The video of the incident uploaded on social media a couple of days back, wrung the hearts of even the strongest as it showed a youth on the roof-top of a multi-storied building holding a dog which he then cold-bloodedly threw off.
Luckily the dog was located by animal rights activist Shravan Krishnan.
The dog had suffered some fracture on its two legs and has been given medical attention and its condition is improving.
