German midfielder Toni Kroos was absent from Real Madrid training session on Thursday due to flu, while the Whites prepare for Sunday's La Liga clash against Rayo Vallecano.

"Toni Kroos did not train due to flu, while Raphael Varane and Dani Carvajal did work inside the club's indoor facilities as part of their ongoing fitness recoveries," the Spanish club's official website said.

Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez included the Castilla footballers Borja Mayoral, Carlos Abad, Philipp Lienhart and Marcos Llorente in the workouts.
