Former Argentinian footballer Gabriel Milito on Wednesday visited the training ground of Atletico Madrid, and praised the work of his compatriot coach Diego Simeone.
Milito said that what Simeone is doing at Atletico is admirable and everyone can see it as he is a coach who has changed the face of the team, adding that he seized his arrival in Madrid to watch the team training and talk with the coach, reports Efe.
The Argentinian, who is in a period of "active rest" after completing his time as coach of Argentine club Estudiantes de La Plata, highlighted the "mentality" of Atletico and its technique.
He added that Simeone's imprint on the mentality of the team is evident in the commitment of all to defend and attack and in creating a brave team.
Milito concluded that Atletico has gained as a result of team organisation and commitment, calling them a team that is very competitive and exciting to watch playing.
