Miranda Lambert switches to bob cut

Singer Miranda Lambert has had her locks chopped off for a bob cut.

The 30-year-old appeared at a party celebrating the platinum status of her single "Automatic", wearing a pretty pink 1950s inspired party dress and a string of pearls. The look was highlighted by a short new hairdo.

Lambert, whose fishtail braid had become a trendsetter recently, has in the past experimented with shorter strands. But then she resorted to hair extensions.
