Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty has plans to direct a film in the future, says his son Mahaakshay, who might star in the movie.

"Dad is not paying much attention to direction right now. He is busy with his TV shows and with his own films. But he has told me that when the time comes, he'll definitely direct," Mahaakshay said here.

Will Mithun direct his son?

"I think now it's too early (to talk about it) because I still have to strengthen the foundation of Mimoh or Mahaakshay. So when the right time comes, definitely with all your good wishes, dad will direct me," said Mahaakshay. He was present at the Christmas Garage Sale, a charity event organised by his "Ishqedarriyaan" co-actor Evelyn Sharma.

Mahaakshay had started his film career with "Jimmy" as an action hero, after which he featured in Bengali film "Rocky" and Hindi film "Haunted". With "Ishqedarriyaan", he was seen as an action hero and now he plans to return to action with his next untitled film.

"I'm working on a new project, it's a very interesting project. My character has numerous shades and it's got a lot of martial arts. I recently returned from Phuket where I did a mixed martial arts course for two months. Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Taekwondo, wrestling, Muay Thai are all part of it and there are lot of stunts. We're trying to create an execution for the film where you don't see any cuts, it's all one take shots," he added.
