Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has done it again - he has teamed up with Keerthi, daughter of Kerala's leading producer Suresh Kumar and actress Maneka, in "Geetanjali". He says it's part of his profession.

Keerthi's mother Maneka featured as Mohanlal's leading leady in numerous films, including super hits like "Boeing Boeing" and "Poocheke Oru Mukuthi".

This is not the first time he is working with the daughter of his ex-leading lady - in his 2006 film "Photographer", he shared the screen space with Saranya Bhagyaraj, daughter of Poornima Jayaram, who was his heroine in his first release "Manjil Virinja Pookal" (1980).

But for Mohanlal such things are of little significance.

"See, I am currently doing a Tamil film where I worked with Poornima Jayaram after a long time. This is a profession and many will come and go, and I am just one of the actors. The story demands that a lady has to be there and in this film it's Keerthi," said the superstar IANS at the shooting location of "Gitanjali" here.

When asked about Keerthi, Mohanlala, known to be a shy, smiled and said: "Yes, she is good." He was waiting to get a call from Priyadarshan for his next shot.

However, Priyadarshan who is directing "Gitanjali", calls it a feat.

"Oh man, this is something that none will ever get to do. This is something phenomenal that he is doing for the second time," Priyadarshan told IANS at the shooting location of "Gitanjali" here.

In the film, Mohanlal plays psychiatrist Sunny Joseph and he is called to treat Keerthi after she starts hallucinating, ahead of her marriage.

"The film is a lot different from earlier films of Priyadarshan. As the shooting is progressing, all of us are excited. After all, for an actor, every role is a challenge and I like challenges, hence it's all the more exciting," said Mohanlal, who will completes 35 years Sep 3 as an actor in filmdom.
