Rabat, Aug 10 (IANS/MAP) Morocco and China have called for reinforcing parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
Speaker of the House of Advisors Hakim Benchamach on Wednesday met Chinese Ambassador to Morocco Li Li and the two officials emphasised the importance of parliamentary cooperation for reinforcement of Sino-Moroccan relations.
The two parties praised the distinguished partnership uniting their countries, highlighting the developments of the Chinese-Moroccan relations since the visit of King Mohammed VI to China in May 2016, which opened up new and promising prospects for bilateral relations.
Benchamach stressed the role of the House in fostering economic and trade relations between the two countries. For his part, Li highlighted Morocco's crucial role in the region and hailed its strong presence in the continent.
