Washington, April 20 (IANS/MAP) Three Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) in the areas of energy efficiency, trade promotion and financing of innovative projects have been signed between Morocco and the US at the 4th Morocco-US Trade Forum here.
The first agreement, signed by the Moroccan Energy Efficiency Agency and the Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development on Thursday, sought to strengthen research cooperation for the development of air conditioning systems using reduced-GWP refrigerants.
It also aimed for identifying ways to better calculate and compare the carbon dioxide equivalent between emissions of greenhouse refrigerants and those from fossil fuels used by air conditioners.
The second MoU aimed to mobilize the resources of the Morocco Growth Fund, an investment fund whose strategy is to invest in innovative companies based in Morocco.
The third agreement concerned the renewal of the MoU between the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises and the US Chamber of Commerce, in which the two organizations agreed to pursue their common goal of supporting the strengthening of bilateral trade relations.
